Participants and early career scientists not affiliated with the project Nansen Legacy:
We aimed for low registration fees (especially for early career scientists). However, an extra lunch and side event were added to the symposium, resulting in a slight increase in registration fees:
Full symposium participation 2369 NOK for senior researcher, 1244 NOK for early career scientist
Registration includes symposium participation (3 days), coffee breaks, 3 lunches, a reception on Monday evening, and the symposium dinner on Wednesday evening (incl. 2 drinks).
If you need a hotel room, it is still possible to book one through the registration system, but only at the hotel The Edge. Alternatively, you can organize your own stay (more details on alternative accommodation here).
We cannot assist with travel booking, but useful information on how to get to Tromsø is provided here.
Nansen Legacy researchers and early career scientists, invited speakers, scientific advisory board, reference group and people in the organizing committees:
The organizing committee has sent you an email with detailed guidelines on how to register to the symposium and book a hotel room. Please use the code provided in this email to access the booking for project participants and contact nansenlegacy_admin@uit.no if you have any questions.

Here you find detailed information on financial support from the Nansen Legacy project and what you can ask for. If you are granted support, the Nansen Legacy administration will send you an email with detailed instructions how to register and get help with the travel arrangements.
Online participation:
Online participation is for free, but only the plenary morning sessions (and potentially the afternoon session on Thursday) will be streamed. For online participation you need to register through the form below and we will send you a streaming link a few days before the symposium.
Travel information for Nansen Legacy scientists
All Nansen Legacy researchers still actively involved in the project should purchase their travel as they have done previously (follow guidelines at their own institution) and apply for travel reimbursements by their respective partner institutions. The institutions will then send a compiled claim to the project office.
For symposium registration, the project administration will soon send you a booking code by email that will allow you to register for the symposium and book the hotel room through the registration system. Accommodation costs and the participant fee will directly be covered by the Nansen Legacy.
